Beliefs

There is One God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Each person of the Triune God is equal in essence but different in function.
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man and the only way by which man can have a reconciled relationship with God.  He was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died a substitutionary death for the sin of mankind, and was raised from the grave.  He, being fully alive, ascended into heaven where he is our mediator.  He will return at an unknown time to gather those who are truly his followers to himself and to judge those who reject the salvation he offers.
The Holy Spirit is fully God and works in the heart of sinful men and women to bring about repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  The Holy Spirit is our comforter and helper as we live grow in obedience and personal holiness.
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God given to men through the Holy Spirit.  God used a variety of men from different backgrounds to reveal himself to the world through written word.  The climax of God’s revelation in Scripture is the birth, ministry, death, resurrection, and return of Jesus Christ.  The Bible, through the work of the Holy Spirit, is sufficient in guiding believers in their worship, growth, and service.
The Church is the universal collection of all those who have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  This collection of believers is called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the lost, grow in their knowledge of God, conform their lives to His teachings, continuously encourage other believers, and faithfully serve one another.  The ultimate purpose of the Church is to bring glory to God in all it does.
Mankind is a sinful race.  Adam and Eve were created in God’s image, in perfect union with God, but they rebelled against God after being deceived by Satan.  Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve and has been passed down to every generation of men.  The only way for man’s broken relationship with God to be fixed is through the salvation purchased with the life of Jesus Christ.
